Vedic Maths is the name given to the ancient system of Indian Maths which was rediscovered from the Vedas/sutras between 1911 and 1918 by Sri Bharati Krisna Tirthaji (1884-1960). According to his research, maths is based on 16 SUTRAS or word-formulae. These formulae describe the way the mind works naturally and are therefore a great help in directing the students to the appropriate solution. This unifying quality is very satisfying,; it makes maths easy, enjoyable and encourages innovation.
The simplicity of Vedic Maths means that calculations can be carried out mentally. There are many advantages in using a flexible mental system. Children can invent their own methods, they are not limited to the one ‘correct’ method. This leads to more creativity and intelligent children. Interest in the Vedic maths is growing in education where maths teachers are looking for something better and finding the Vedic maths is the answer.
The interest in the Vedic system is developing and taking place in contemporary education system where many people and teachers are looking for the better option and have been found the Vedic system is the best answer for solving the even complicated equations. Many researches are being carried out in every sector including the effects of learning Vedic Maths on children. It has been developed the children mind, increased the calculation capacity and extensively used in solving the geometry, calculus and computing etc.
